What type of license do I need?
You will need the Class B license (2 to 3 wheels) that belong to tricycles, mopeds, motorcycles, motorcycle taxis and trimotos for personal or commercial use that transport passengers or goods.
But the type of permit for this class will depend on how you use your vehicle. Thus, there are four types:
BI license: 3-wheel non-motorized vehicles (tricycles) for special public passenger transport.
License B-IIa: Mopeds to transport passengers or goods.
License B-IIb: The same as B-IIa and also Motorcycles (2 wheels) or Motorcycles with Sidecar (3 wheels) to transport passengers or goods.
B-IIc License: The same as B-IIa and B-IIb and also Mototaxis and Trimotos (3 wheels) for passenger transport.
Requirements and steps to follow to obtain the permit
1. Be of legal age (18 years).
2. Take psychosomatic aptitude test (medical exam). The amount varies between 100 and 200 soles, depending on the medical center authorized by the Ministry of Transportation and Communications (MTC).
3. Pay S /. 58.48 for the right to the driving test and traffic rules. Payment can be made at any of the agencies of the Caja Metropolitana de Lima.
4. Take all these documents (original and copy) to the Touring Automóvil Club del Perú where you will take the exam.
5. If approved, the Touring will provide you with an order with which you will have to approach the offices of the Urban Transport Management of the Municipality of Lima (Jr.AntonioVargas N ° 1733-Lima) to collect your permit within 10 business days .

What is the fine for driving a motorcycle without a license?
There are different types of fines around the license, such as driving without it, which is a Very Serious offense sanctioned with S /. 2,200.00; have it withheld or expired; or drive a vehicle with a license whose class does not correspond to the vehicle you are driving.
